For once, no one ran from the sirens. Everyone cheered on the star spangled light show racing towards destruction. 1976 was on fire and no one gave a damn. Fathers raised children for a better view of the flames even though few could see through the grey dense cumulus.

After the celebration, paying in the warm rubble, I wondered what they expected us to build with just this ash?
