Trenched by Katy Martinez

Jealousy, with your lime green eyes,
Your intentions not fully developed,
a light shade of green.
You shriek in one's mind
Causing a ringing ruckus of shameful intentions.
Like pouncing onto a mattress covered by
linens of Egyptian cotton
but you waste no time morphing into the cat
you are, easily provoked.
Jealousy, always dressed for harsh weather,
With your black trench coat to
cover every inch of your yearning fit body.
Yearning for the beauty of a sunset or
peace of mind.
But jealousy never wins.
