We Hold Hands Even if They're Full

by Atticus Graves

Atticus Graves

We hold hands even if they're full
kiss, though our lips never touch
understand though we’ve said no words
just a little will always bet woo much.

We spot camels in the countryside
tie knaves to their cold tracks
Tell them “You’re no fun anymore”
Find straw to break their backs.

But when the day comes at past
when our time has rattled out
our bodies and souls will ____ together
after all that time we’ll last.
