A Spacecraft Outside My Window

by Yael Green

Yael Green

A spacecraft outside my window,
men cartwheel over ballgame sidewalks
saturated with sunflower seeds,
aged gum like black stones pushed between cracks
The window is cool against my fingertips,
And the men cartwheeling outside warm themselves
Near an empty stadium
by turning upside down to press their
palms
against an abandoned earth.
