Poetry. Edited by Xavier Kalck. This long-overdue survey of British poet Anthony Barnett collects previously published collections, reprinting several in their entirety, but includes new writing as well. Barnett's earlier work was collected in THE RESTING BELL. As Kalck writes in his introduction, "The poems [in this volume] are like this resting bell: it is not that they are silent, they do sound, but in a different way, they are turned upward like such a type of bell, making a specific sound and sense, struck on the rim, instead of the rhyme."
