Poetry. Bilingual Edition. Translated from the Portuguese by Chris Daniels. With artwork by Francisco Faria. "Josely Vianna Baptista is one of Brazil's most strikingly inventive contemporary poets, a writer of wit and emotional depth whose vision ranges from black to blaze and back again. Chris Daniels's renderings into English represent a triumph of the translator's magical art. In sum, a perfect pairing."—Michael Palmer
