Dara Wier has received awards and fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Massachusetts Cultural Council, and the American Poetry Review. She lives in Amherst where she teaches at the University of Massachusetts.

She is the recipient of numerous fellowships and awards, including those from the Guggenheim Foundation and the NEA, and she has taught at numerous universities and conferences throughout the country. Wier is on the permanent faculty of the University of Massachusetts Program for Poets & Writers.
