Poetry. Mirakove's poems address questions such as: how do we get the swirling-inside/outside-the-head onto the page? What are the differences between knowledge and information, and what are we putting into our poems? Why? How can we sustain simultaneously our health and our engagements with destruction? She is a founding member of the subpress collective, with whom she published FRACTURED HUMOROUS by Edwin Torres, and she has taught on Information Poetics at the St. Mark's Poetry Project. Her previous book OCCUPIED was published by Kelsey St. Press and is also available through SPD.
