EIGHTEEN DAYS IN JUNE is a portfolio of exquisite black and while photographs by Bay Area photographer Rob Buelteman taken during his residency at the Djerassi Resident Artists Program in 1996. Consistent with his previously published works, notably The Unseen Peninsula, Buelteman's images reflect a place in the heart as powerfully as they reflect the unique coastal topography and site-specific sculpture collection found at the Djerassi Program. EIGHTEEN DAYS IN JUNE is published in association with Custom and Limited Editions, San Francisco, designed by 1185 Design, Palo Alto, and printed in Italy. This extremely handsome and well-crafted book features 47 tri-tone reproductions on 100 pages within an 11-inch square format. It includes an introduction by former United States Poet Laureate Robert Hass and texts by the artist and Program Trustee Dale Djerassi; it was edited by Robert McDonald.
