Poetry. Theodore Enslin's poetry, writer Herschel Silverman has said, "is actually musical composition." A student under Nadia Boulanger, Enslin also attended the New England Conservatory of Music. His poetry was greatly influenced by William Carlos Williams, Louis Zukofsky, and George Oppen. Critics group him as well with Charles Olson and Robert Creeley.
