Fiction. Poetry. Art. Anthology. This latest installment of the semi-annual journal FOURTEEN HILLS, published by the Creative Writing department at San Francisco State University, collects the progressive poetry, fiction and visual work of thirty-three emerging and cross-genre writers. From the postmodern to the traditional, Fourteen Hills is a testimony to the fact that independent, innovative and experimental literature is alive and thriving. Includes a section of high-quality color reproductions of the work of its featured visual artists, Jenny Duponte, Gregory Euclide and Jacqui Oakley. In the past few years, pieces first published in FOURTEEN HILLS have garnered such prestigious literary recognition as the Flannery O'Connor Award and inclusion in the O. Henry Prize and Best American Poetry Anthologies.
