Poetry. Poetry. Heather Fuller has been called "the new Eileen Myles" and a"postmodern Berryman" but is more like a security camera monitor on barbituates. Fuller's DOVECOTE carries the burden of the collision of the Southern and the urban; lost southern languages circulate into the inexplicable horror of contemporaneity. DOVECOTE asks, "What's the use of syntax in a ghosttown? What's the use of commas in the criminal?" Fuller has strong ties to the Washington, DC avant-garde poetry scene and has been the literary editor of THE WASHINGTON REVIEW for the past six years.
