Art. In this artist's book, Edinburgh artist Zoe Irvine continues her on-going series exploring the elements. The books takes an existing image, in this case the windrose (a diagrammatic representation of prevailing wind strengths, shaped like the head of a rose) and poeticises it. The windroses are colored according to actual roses blooming in the 12 months of the year. WINDROSES was presented as part of a larger installation in the Overbeck Gesselschaft in Lubeck in July of 1999.
