Jack DeWitt grew up in Stamford, Connecticut in the 1950's. He has published four collections of poems. The most recent, Almost Grown, was published by Paper Kite Press in the fall of 2008. His work is included in two anthologies: The New Geography of American Poetry and Vampire: An Anthology. His work has also appeared in a number of magazines including The New American Review and The American Poetry Review. In 2003 his study of hot rodding, Cool Cars, High Art: The Rise of Kustom Kulture, was published by the University Press of Mississippi. He is a professor in the Division of Liberal Arts at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. He lives in Glenside, Pennsylvania.
