Maisha Baton was a poet, playwright and historian. She received a doctoral degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh, and has taught there and at the University of New Mexico. numerous literary magazines and journals, and she has published three volumes. Maisha passed away in December, 2009.
