Poetry. When you stand amid the rubble that was the house your mother grew up in and where you visited grandparents, the mind and heart grasp at fragments of memories. These poems, glorious and sad, are this story: "He doesn't come out, the cuckoo / who counted the hours, / quick, his face a blur." The accumulative effect is imagistic, mysterious, and touching. Limited to 250 copies of hand-set Kennerley types letterpress printed on archival Mohawk Superfine text, hand-sewn, and covered in Royal Fiber in Cottonwood.
