Poetry. On Kirpal Gordon's EROS IN SANSKRIT: LYRICS & MEDITATIONS 2007-1977: "In Kirpal Gordon, we have a poet who has taken into the alchemy of his own poetic language the best of the Modernist trajectory, and wresting its ecstatic, neo-mystic soul, Makes It New. This volume brings to us a riveting selection of Gordon's work over the past twenty-five years. These poems are unique, the stuff of urban-vatic vision. Reading them, I am struck again and again by their freshness, the breadth (and breath) of the poetry, the incantory sweep of the hard truths these poems bear witness to. They unfold like a many-layered lotus that has, as it will, bloomed in the 'hood" -Cynthia Hogue.
