About the author: Born in Buffalo, New York, in 1956, Deborah Meadows's family were ironworkers. She now lives in the Arts District/Little Tokyo section of Los Angeles with Howard Stover and teaches in the Liberal Studies department at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
