Poetry. Asian American Studies. Well known poet and teacher Linh Dinh comments "This book is wild, playful, gorgeous, weird, often hip. I kept thinking I wish I had come up with this phrase, this line, that entire poem, and that one, and that one ." An example of one of Lisa Chen's great lines: "The failure of modern pharmaceuticals was written all over her face." from "Things That Are Distant Though Near." She attended UC Berkeley and the University of Iowa and currently lives in New York.
