She earned her master's degree at California State University, San Marcos. She is currently studying literature at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She has received recognition for her writing from Bright Hill Press (Honorable Mention); the CPU Creative Writing Conference (Second Place); and Vermont Studio Center (Writer's Grant). Myers is currently studying literature at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and working on a creative nonfiction collection memorializing the life and death of her brother, Christopher Sellers.
