Poetry. African American Studies. GOMER'S SONG is a re-rendering of the Bible story. In Gomer, a harlot who was the wife of the Old Testament prophet Hosea, Kwame Dawes finds the subject for a beautiful, contemporary exploration on freedom and sacrifice.
