Poetry. Just a few months after the publication of her prize-winning, instant classic debut THE COW, Ariana Reines self-published this stunning book-length poem, now a cult object among readers of truly contemporary poetry. CŒUR DE LION is an intensely personal, monologic meditation on longing, sex, and love between a speaker and the object of all her passions, which include thinking and writing.

Author City: NEW YORK, NY USA

Ariana Reines's play Telephone was commissioned and produced by the Foundry Theatre in 2009, with two Obie™ Awards and wide acclaim. She became the youngest-ever Roberta C. Holloway Lecturer in Poetry at UC Berkeley in 2009. Reines is the author of MERCURY, CŒUR DE LION, and THE COW, and has translated several books from the French for Mal-O-Mar and Semiotext(e). A native of Salem, Massachusetts, she currently divides her time.
