Librarian's Resources

"No other source offers such a wide range of literary titles-we always look to SPD for our small press purchases, and they've been an invaluable resource for us as we've expanded our specialty collections."—Lynne Cutler, Oakland Public Library

Standing Order Approval Plans

We want to make it easier for you to get small press books into the hands of your patrons! Our Standing Order Approval Programs are always custom-tailored, so no request is too specific or too general. One of our most sucessful programs, SPD's Standing Order service is already in place, easing the order process for two dozen university and public libraries, including New York Public Library, Yale University Library, Stanford University and Sarah Lawrence College Library.

Libraries can specify parameters to suit the needs of their collections, focusing on publishers of interest in their community or subject matter that appeals most to their patrons.

Library Terms and Discounts

Orders are shipped out automatically with purchase orders, at net-60 days. Shipping is library rate, and out of stock titles can be backordered at your request. Returns are accepted with invoice information, provided books are in saleable condition.  Credits from such returns are good for one year from the date of issue.
