Martin Steingesser has participated in the Touring Artist program of the Maine Arts Commission for the past 25y ears, performing poems and stories for diverse audiences at such sites as the Maine State House, the Maine Arts Commission, Portland Museum of Art, Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, Portland Public Library, Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, the Maine Festival of the Arts, Camden Opera House, Rockport Opera House, Grand Auditorium, Maine Coast Artists and other galleries, art centers, libraries, colleges and schools. Martin is also the author of THE THINKING HEART: THE LIFE & LOVES OF ETTY HILLESUM and Brothers of Morning, both from Deerbrook Editions.
