Author: Phillip Barron

Phillip Barron is a member of the Squaw Valley Community of Writers and served as the 2012 editor of Squaw Valley Review. He is also the author of the non-fiction book The Outspokin' Cyclist (Avenida Books, 2010), a collection of newspaper columns on bicycling. His poetry has appeared in publications including New American Writing, Brooklyn Rail, Fourteen Hills, and Janus Head.His non-fiction prose also appears in Orion, Saw Palm, Inside Higher Ed, and Radical Philosophy Review, and his photography and digital art have shown in galleries in North Carolina and Minnesota.

He teaches courses in Philosophy and Humanities at Woodland Community College, a Hispanic-Serving Institution in Woodland, California. Previously, he taught at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, and the University of California, Davis. He worked for many years as a digital media specialist at the National Humanities Center in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.
