L. S. Klatt is the current Poet Laureate of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and teaches literature and creative writing at Calvin College. Poems of his have appeared widely, including such places as Harvard Review, Denver Quarterly, Crazyhorse, Poetry Daily, The Believer, New Orleans Review, Boston Review, Volt, Blackbird, Colorado Review, and The Common. His first book, Interloper, won the Juniper Prize, awarded by the University of Massachusetts Press. His second, Cloud of Ink, garnered the Iowa Poetry Prize from the University of Iowa Press. Klatt also has published a third volume, Sunshine Wound with Free Verse Editions (2015). His lyric poem "Andrew Wyeth, Painter, Dies At 91" was anthologized in The Best American Poetry 2011 and subsequently made into a 90- second animated film by MOTIONPOEMS.
