Sophie Loizeau lives in Versailles. Her first three books, written between 1998 and 2004 (Le Corps saisonnier, La Nue-BĂȘte, Environs du bouc), are all closely marked with the presence of nature associated with mythology and the fantastic, as well as inflected by desire and sexuality. By forcing the French language to reflect upon itself, to take a look at its system of arbitrary conventions, Loizeau upheaves this very system. Grammatisation is the term she uses to designate this work of upheaval.
