Author: Maeve Kinkead

Maeve Kinkead, writer and actor, was born in New York City to a family of writers. She earned a BA and MA from Harvard University, studied at The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, and earned an M.F.A. from the Warren Wilson MFA Program for Writers. She has performed widely in theatre, film, and television. In 1992 she won an Emmy Award for her long-running role as devilish debutante Vanessa Chamberlain Lewis in CBS-TV's soap opera, Guiding Light. Her writing has appeared in The New Yorker, Poetry in Performance, and Seventeen Magazine. A DANGLING HOUSE (Barrow Street Press, 2017) is her first book of poetry.
