Heike-Karin Föll is a painter who is currently based in Berlin. She works with the materiality and mechanics of painting and language, treating textuality as equally a vehicle of content, a visual motif and a material form. Having earned a degree in Painting at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart as well as an MA in art history at the Freie Universität Berlin, she has lectured, taught and presented her work in both academic and non-academic institutions, including Akademie der Bildenden Künste Karlsruhe, basso Berlin, Museum für Gegenwartskunst, Basel and berghain Berlin. She currently is teaching at Universität der Künste Berlin. She exhibits internationally. Her recent solo exhibitions include ma line at Tonus, Paris (2017), news at Francesca Pia, Zürich, metal at Mathew, New York (2016) oity at hacienda, Zürich (2015), L'idiot de la famille at Mathew Berlin (2014) and The Delphinium Version at ELAINE, Museum für Gegenwartskunst, Basel (2012). She has also exhibited in group shows including VOX, Montréal, Kunsthalle Bern (2014), The National Gallery of Denmark in Copenhagen (2013) and Kunsthalle Zürich (2011).
