Author: Shane Neilson

Shane Neilson is a poet, physician, and literary critic who lives with disability. He is the author of CONSTRUCTIVE NEGATIVITY: PRIZE CULTURE, EVALUATION, AND DIS/ABILITY IN CANADIAN POETRY (Palimpsest Press, 2019). Shane's poetry has received several accolades, including the Hamilton Literary Award for Poetry in 2018; The Walrus Poetry Prize in 2017, and in 2011, he was shortlisted for the Trillium Poetry Prize. Shane lives in Oakville, Ontario.
