Kerry Banazek teaches in the Rhetoric, Professional Communication, and Digital Media programs at New Mexico State University, as an Assistant Professor in the English department. She recieved her PhD in composition and rhetoric from the University of Pittsburgh, an MFA in poetry from the University of Montana, and a BA in both math and English from St. Lawrence University in Northern New York. In 2016, her cross-platform approach to teaching writing and digital media production was recognized with a Kairos Teaching Award. She has experience working on ecology field crews (in Southwestern Colorado and Western Washington).
