Rachel is a teacher and traveler. Her stories have appeared in Whitefish, Raw Art, Litro, NUNUM, Wanderlust, Hot Metal Bridge, Bluntly, Montana Mouthful, and elsewhere. Rachel's debut novel, Packer and Jack, was published by a small press in 2014. A 2017 Fulbright granted Rachel a month's residency at the International Writers House in Latvia to complete a memoir (unpublished) of several years in Africa. She holds a PhD (UCLA) in art history and currently lives outside of Portland, Oregon.
