Author: Jacques Darras

Jacques Darras (b. 1939) is the author of the eight- volume epic poem "La Maye" in addition to numerous literary studies and essays. His translations into French include works by Shakespeare, Blake, Coleridge, Whitman, Pound, Williams, Bunting, MacDiarmid, Hill, and Hughes. He has been honored with the Prix Apollinaire, awarded by the Académie Française for lifetime achievement.
