Author: George Looney

George Looney is the prize winning author of numerous books of poetry and fiction including WHAT LIGHT BECOMES: THE TURNER VARIATIONS (Red Mountain Press, 2019) and HYMN OF ASH (Elixir Press, 2008). He founded the BFA in Creative Writing Program at Penn State Erie, where he is Distinguished Professor of English and Creative Writing, and he serves as editor of the international literary journal Lake Effect, translation editor of Mid-American Review, and was co-founder of the original Chautauqua Writers' Festival. He lives in Erie, Pennsylvania.
