Fiction. A dystopic novel including a trio of rebellious teenage girls, a wired and paranoid commander, a faithful lieutenant protecting her commander, a babbling genius whose photographic memory has gone awry, and sundry villains and heroes. Meads examines this not-so-distant future not to entertain us with techno-gadgetry, but to reflect on our own time and find that general emotional confusion remains the human constant, no matter what the situation, no matter how much—or how little—information inserts itself.
Kat Meads is the author of several books, including MISS JANE: THE LOST YEARS; FOR YOU, MADAM LENIN; SLEEP; and NOT WAVING from Livingston Press. A native of eastern North Carolina, she lives in California and teaches in Oklahoma City University's low-residency MFA program.Author City: BEN LOMOND, CA USA
