Description
Poetry. The winner of the first annual Unicorn Press First Book Contest, EARTHQUAKE OWNER'S MANUAL explores the bonds that create community—love, family, friendship, memory, location—and the complications that challenge it. With humor and irony, these deeply human lyrics lead us to moments of grace in unlikely situations. Vast in their scope, these poems joke about Copernicus, celebrate "Smokey and the Bandit," and meditate in the sparse landscape ofthe American Southwest.
