LIPSTICK ACROPOLIS / AERÓPOLE DE BATOM is a bilingual (English-Portuguese) collection of original poems in English by Bill Wolak, based on his worldwide traveling experiences, with translations into Portuguese by Carlos Ramos. It is a sensuous series of poems about physical love, dreams, and water.

Bill Wolak is a poet who lives in New Jersey. His poetry has appeared in over a hundred magazines. His translations have appeared in such magazines as The Sufi Journal, Basalt, Visions International, World Poetry Journal, and Atlanta Review. His critical work and interviews have appeared in Notre Dame Review, Persian Heritage Magazine, Gargoyle, Southern Humanities Review, and Prime Numbers Magazine. Mr. Wolak has been awarded several National Endowment for the Humanities scholarships and two Fulbright-Hays scholarships to study and travel in India. In 2007, he was selected to participate in a Friendship Delegation to Iran sponsored by the Fellowship of Reconciliation, America's largest and oldest interfaith peace and justice organization. During the Summer of 2010, Mr. Wolak was awarded a Field Study Opportunity in China and Japan by the National Consortium for Teaching about Asia. He was selected to be a featured poet at festivals in India five times: at the 2011 Kritya International Poetry Festival in Nagpur, at the 2013 Hyderabad Literary Festival, at the Tarjuma 2013: Festival of Translators in Ahmedabad, at the 2014 Hyderabad Literary Festival, and the 2017 Goa Arts and Literary Festival.

Carlos Ramos was born in Peniche, Portugal. He graduated with a degree in Law, and became a writer, translator, and photographer. He was a founding partner of VIRTUAL - Associação de Fotógrafos. He published his first works in the newspapers, DN Jovem and Jornal de Letras, and he is also published in the collections Nas Águas do Verso and Entre o Sono e o Sonho, (Portugal) in literary magazines: Palanque Marginal (Brazil), Abismo Humano (Portugal), Piolho (Portugal), LiteraLivre (Brazil), Proyecto Straversa (Colombia), Oropeles y Guiñapos (Spain), Literatura & Fechadura (Brazil), Ruído Manifesto (Brazil), and on line in Portuguese Poetry, Quem lê Sophia de Mello Breyner Andersen, TheBooksmovie - Contemporary Poetry Fonoteca (Spain), Escritas (Portugal/Brasil), Weixin offcial platform (China) and in PoemHunter (France), as well as in several blogs, among others Gazeta de Poesia Inédita, and Canal de Poesia. He participated as a programmer in the Alcova Org project. He was the author and administrator of the blogs: Infinito Atlântico and As Mãos Por Dentro do Corpo. His poetry has been translated into Spanish and Chinese. He has participated in literary festivals and poetry recitals.
