Description
Poetry. "'All our souls are simply waiting / to be named,' Harry Northup reminds us in this brilliant and heartbreakingly lovely collection. And he does just that in poem after marvelous poem. Beautifully written, stunningly structured (his incantation is matchless), and brimming with compassion and gratitude, these poems are filled with trees and roses, observation and walking, and above all, love for his wife and the cherished details of their life together. This radiant, celebratory book, filled with wonder and awe, is a love poem to the world."—Alison Townsend
"With this new book, LOVE POEM TO MPTF, I see poetry that everyone can find life sustaining. There is more wisdom in the lines of the poems in this book than in any book of poems I can think of, unless you consider Lao Tzu's Tao Te Ching. It will sit on a shelf beside the volumes of holy insight and wisdom I find essential."—Michael Lally
