Author Bio
Patricia G. Turnbull, PhD, is an educator and author from the Virgin Islands. Turnbull is a former head of the Department of Language, Literature and Communications of H. Lavity Stoutt Community College. Her scholarly articles, essays, poems, and book reviews have appeared in The English Journal, The Caribbean Writer,and The BVI Beacon. Her writings have been published in Moving Beyond Boundaries: International Dimensions of Black Women's Writing; Longman's Caribbean New Voices 1; Sent Lisi: Poems and Art of Saint Lucia, an anthology from her native St. Lucia; and WHERE I SEE THE SUN - CONTEMPORARY POETRY IN THE VIRGIN ISLANDS (TORTOLA | VIRGIN GORDA | ANEGADA | JOST VAN DYKE). Turnbull is the author of Rugged Vessels and the landmark VI 'historical memory' title Can These Stones Talk?
