Description
Poetry. ATROPHY OF THE BOY WHO BECAME A WISHING WELL, Nathaniel Bek's debut collection, won the 4th annual Three Mile Harbor Press Poetry Prize. Set in rural Wisconsin, these poems explore a dark reality of tragedy, violence, toxic masculinity and struggle for self in a deceptively bucolic landscape. There is power and strength in the struggle that unfolds, and the possibility of love and hope on a "dance floor of pain." This is an unforgettable first collection—deeply moving and courageous.
