Author Bio
Joan Burt grew up in Montana and received her degree in Fine Art from Montana State University. Her poetry has appeared in a variety of literary journals, including The Santa Fe Literary Review and Bosque Magazine. Diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2002, and facing the limitations that her illness presented, she made a successful transition from painting to poetry: "Poetry is, so far, the only reason that works for me." Joan lives in Santa Fe with her dog Mazey and her life-partner Bill.
