Florida's growth and development as a state is inextricably tied to the history of Italians in this part of the United States, the one would be different today without the other.
Author Bio
Gary R. Mormino is a professor of history at the University of South Florida. Mormino has written and edited several books about Italian Americans and most importantly one large work about Florida. Mormino has also taught at the Rome University as a Fulbright Scholar.
