Poetry. SOME MEASURE OF EXISTENCE by Margorie Buettner is a full-length collection of haibun, a Japanese form combining prose and haiku. This wide ranging collection is arranged traditionally, with a section devoted to each of the year's four seasons. The book is introduced by Marian Olson.
Author Bio
Marjorie Buettner lives in Chisago City, Minnesota, with her family. She has received numerous awards for her tanka and haiku. She also writes sijo and haibun and dapples in photo-haiga. She has taught haiku, tanka and haibun at The Loft in Minneapolis, MN and is a frequent book reviewer for many journals. Currently she is one of three editors for CHO (Contemporary Haibun Online). She is the author of two collections published by Red Dragonfly Press: SEEING IT NOW (2008) and SOME MEASURE OF EXISTENCE: COLLECTED HAIBUN (2014).
