Poetry. Steven Cope returns with new poems treating his timeless themes: the tenuous relationship of mankind with the natural world, fraught with moral and spiritual dimensions; and the difficulty for even such a master of words to express experience through language. Throughout these poems runs his deep love for his native Appalachia and for all living things.
Eastern Kentucky native Steven R. Cope is the author of over a dozen books of poetry and prose, for adults and children, including THE BEAN CAN: A BOOK and WA- HITA, both from Broadstone Books. In addition to teaching creative writing at a number of Kentucky universities, he is a musician and songwriter who has taught guitar to hundreds of students. He lives outside of Winchester.Author City: WINCHESTER, KY USA
