Description
Fiction. When Agile Hess goes missing, his mother asks his childhood friend Hills to find him. This leads Hills through memories of days spent shooting at bean cans with Agile, before a tragic event that changed their lives; and the search for his friend leads to redemption for both from being "swallowed up by time." Part picaresque crime caper, part most unlikely Grail quest, this is foremost a lyrical and loving evocation of the land, the animals, and the people of East Kentucky.
