Description
Poetry. Art. "This volume is higly original in its structure and modes. It addresses contemporary experience informed by the traditions and influences that shape its voice—the Greek tradition, in particular. It is as though the poet has listened to the wisdom, fatalism, the foreboding, wit and, finally, the love of good things that the ancient epigrammatists gave the world. Germanacos evokes the aura of his times, along with a vital personal perception that brings those ancient qualities to life."—Edmund Keeley
