Like a hanging mobile, the stories in THE NEW LOW move around each other, creating ever-changing insights between its characters. Each of whom struggle with identity, addictions, judgments, and life’s contradictions.
Jennifer Lewis is a writer, editor, and publisher of Red Light Lit. In 2020, she won the Los Angeles Review Flash Fiction award for "Put a Teat in It." In 2018, her short story, "New Low," was the winner of the Nomadic Press Bindle Award and in 2017, she was the 1st runner-up for the Los Angeles Review Creative Nonfiction Award for "Holy Communion." Her fiction has been published in Cosmonaut's Avenue, ENTROPY, Fourteen Hills Press, The Los Angeles Press, Midnight Breakfast, sPARKLE & bLINK, and X-Ray Lit Mag. She received her MFA in creative writing from San Francisco State University in May 2015. She teaches at The Writing Salon in San Francisco.
