Poetry. "THE BEAUTIFUL CITY OF WEEDS is a stunning book. Gregory has a light, delicate touch and a great ear, but what dazzles me is his ambition. This is a poet whose attention to the world is so rapt and gimmick-free that he can actually show us how 'love changes slowly, quietly/into days...'"--D. Nurkse. Gregory was born in Omaha, raised in Kansas City, and now works with the University of Kentucky's engineering program.
Robert Gregory is the author of six books, including YOU WON'T NEED THAT (Willow Springs Books, 2013), THE BEAUTIFUL CITY OF WEEDS (Hanging Loose Press, 2005), Change, the Skinny Man (winner of the 2001 Blue Lynx Prize), Boy Picked Up by the Wind (winner of the 1992 Bluestem Poetry Award), and INTERFERENCES (Poltroon Press, 1987). His poems have appeared in Amherst Review, Berkeley Poetry Review, Hanging Loose, and Willow Springs, and he was the recipient of an NEA fellowship for poetry. He currently lives in Frankfort, KY, where he works as a technical writer for the College of Engineering at the University of Kentucky.Author City: FRANKFORT, KY USA
