Lasana M. Sekou is a St. Martin, Caribbean author of poetry, monologues, short stories, and essays. Reviewers have compared Sekou's poetry to the works of Aimé Césaire, Oswald Mtshali, Kamau Brathwaite, Dylan Thomas, e.e. cummings, and Linton Kwesi Johnson.
