Description
Poetry. RUSSIAN NOVELS is Luke Bloomfield's debut collection of poems. Intellectual and irreverent, Russian Novels is the work of a mildly disturbed imagination that spans the absurd and mundane with sly, conscious play. Pictures hang inside duffel bags, ham is a suitable replacement for the moon and Paris is like Paris. The poems inside RUSSIAN NOVELS "hack food into Swedish shapes" and "grow a discourteous second head."
"RUSSIAN NOVELS is a book of poems that is so original and fantastic that it will leave you breathless and aching with laughter. I highly recommend it to anyone who thinks that poetry is dead. It's not. It's a writhing monster of well-being."—James Tate
